rSubmitter should work out of the box after installation. However there are some settings that you can change to your preference. This is achieved by creating a config file and tweaking the settings there.
All the options in the config file are global and will be applied to all calls from rSubmitter.
Option | Default | Description |
---|---|---|
MAX_JOBS_ALLOWED | 500 | Maximum number of jobs to have in queue |
TIME_WAIT_MAX_JOBS | 60 | If maximum jobs in queue has been reached, this is the wait time in-between each resubmission trial |
TIME_WAIT_FAILED_CMD | 5 | Time to wait in-between each failed sytem call execution |
TIME_WAIT_JOB_STATUS | 5 | Time to to wait in-between job status checks |
MAX_JOB_ARRAY_LENGTH | SLURM sytem default (MaxArraySize) | Maximum length allowed for Job Arrays |
Options are set in the config file ~/.rSubmitter
. Each line corresponds to one option and the syntax is “option:value”.
A config file with default options would like this:
MAX_JOBS_ALLOWED:500
TIME_WAIT_FAILED_CMD:5
TIME_WAIT_MAX_JOBS:60
TIME_WAIT_JOB_STATUS:5
MAX_JOB_ARRAY_LENGTH:1000
